Afio mai! Welcome to Saufo`i Press’s new website!

This new website has been a long time coming and as you’ll quickly discover, I have a big-maximalist-colour-blocking-no-chill aesthetic and it’s been awesome seeing that come to life with the website. I’m excited as to have a space to be able to share our upcoming authors and books, news, and who knows, maybe some audio in the future?

The site is a place you can read about the kaupapa, check out the vibez, get a headache from all the colour, and shortly, you’ll be able to find out what books we’re publishing and buy them.

This website would legit NOT be possible without the generous donors who donated their pūtea to the Saufo`i Press Boosted x Moana crowdfunding campaign last year, to all those who shared the campaign, spread the word, and to those fam at Boosted and Creative New Zealand who made the scary biz of crowdfunding a real damn breeze.

All the beautiful icons, patterns, graphic design elements and our whole damn brand is thanks to the beautiful wāhine at Studio Acht, especially Sophia who put her wee heart and soul into this design. (PS. You’ll be seeing heaps more of this sick branding on our socials, and I’ll write a wee blog post about our the meaning behind the icons too).

And lastly thanks to all you readers, writers, creative spirits, big time supporters, small time loves, mentors, people in my life and the wider Moana writing fanau who continue to support Pasifika creatives.
